Winter woolies ran last weekend again, the 2019 edition was once again across 2 days, with about 80 trucks on Saturday and 70 on Sunday. The winter weather on the plateau kept everything interesting and a snowy treat in most places.
Participants started out fromo Karior Domain which was used for camping and scruiterneering. There were a lot of participants that hadn’t attended the event before which is a good sign for official 4×4 events such as these. There were quite modern utes and shineys along with the die hard regulars.
Saturday was cold and windy, Sunday was cold with snow, the event ran smoothly as always with a few punctures and stuck vehicles to keep things interesting.
Fun was had by all, young and old another great event with regular supportive sponsors and prize packs.
Keep an eye on the Desert Defenders Off Road Club for future events.
Thanks for the trip report Jeff.
